Amazon.com, Inc., doing business as Amazon, is an American online retail company. They promise to create 2,000 permanent contract positions in France this year. Reuters reported.

This will bring their current permanent staff total to 7,500. Amazon said that they are confident in the country's economy and has already over €2 billion since 2010.
France comes in third-largest under Amazon’s markets in Europe, after the United Kingdom and Germany. After Amazon launched its Prime Now express delivery service in Paris in 2016, they opened five logistics centres across the country since then. Amazon also plans to open a 142,000-square-foot delivery warehouse in 2018.
It is reported that Amazon settled a long-running dispute with French tax authorities. The French tax authorities wanted nearly €200 million from Amazon in taxes.
