Authorities are denying the issue of arrest warrants against the Gupta brothers, but the Sunday Times has reported that warrants have been issued for Atul and Tony Gupta.

Reports in February reported that the Gupta brothers were on the run. The reports also suggested that arrest warrants were issued for not only the brothers, but also Duduzane Zuma.
According to SABC news, Interpol has been informed and brought on board in efforts to track down Atul and Tony Gupta, after the Hawks were unable to serve arrest warrants for the Gupta brothers.
On 18 February 2018, the Sunday Times reported that Duduzane Zuma "tried to strike a deal" with law enforcement agencies (Hawks) before raiding the Gupta compound in Saxonwold.
"Former president Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane tried to strike a deal with law enforcement agencies before going on the run this week.
Officials with intimate knowledge of the case told the Sunday Times that “unofficial” negotiations involving the 35-year-old delayed the Hawks’ swoop on the Gupta family on Wednesday — which may have helped the Gupta brothers evade arrest."
Travel documents show Ajay Gupta left the country on 6 February and has not returned.

Ajay Gupta has also been declared as a fugitive of justice, after he failed to hand himself over, regardless his lawyers telling the Hawks he will do so.
Lieutenant-General Yolisa Matakata of the Hawks confirmed that an arrest warrant has been issued for Ajay Gupta, but no warrant of arrest for former president Jacob Zuma’s son Duduzane.
Ajay Gupta's arrest warrant is not issued in connection with the Vrede dairy farm project, but another corruption case – reportedly attempted bribery of former deputy finance minister Mcebisi Jonas. The Hawks have also said they are not looking for Atul Gupta.
The Gupta family’s lawyers dismissed allegations that the brothers are fugitives from justice.
“Insiders said the denial was part of a plot to lure the two brothers back into the country,” stated the Sunday Times.
