Vox informed customers that they will see an increase in prices due to upcoming VAT hike.
“The National Treasury announced an increase in VAT from 14% to 15%, effective 1 April 2018. There will, therefore, be an adjustment to your fees as our services are subject to VAT,” said Vox.
The price hike statement from VOX is among many, as companies with high customer volumes in SA will also be affected by the VAT increase. The statements released of the VAT increase are important and necessary, since most to all companies' services are subject to VAT.
Telkom, Vodacom, Cell C, and MTN have all announced they are hiking their prices due to the VAT increase.
Not all companies will increase prices, there are companies whose fees will remain unchanged despite the VAT hike. Hetzner is not hiking prices, and its hosting fees will not go up next month.
